Adam Lambert Explains Absence on 'Idol' Finale
The singer turns on to Twitter to clear up controversy.
Adam LambertPic: Official Adam LambertAdam Lambert explained on his Twitter account why he did not take the stage on Wednesday night's American Idol finale. Lambert was missing during a performance that bid farewell to judge Simon Cowell.
Media outlets formed some speculation and the singer cleared up the issue on Twitter. He tweeted on May 27, “Would have loved 2 have been at the Idol Finale to wish Simon farewell and support the finalists, but this tour for my fans is my priority.”
The singer said he came down with a “throat bug” after a performance in Boston, but he was also never "asked to appear on the finale in any capacity."
