It’s no secret the Jews have a strong attachment to Chinese food, which is why we found the idea of this annual festival hilarious:

The Egg Rolls & Egg Creams Festival, put on by the Museum at Eldridge Street in New York, celebrates the Chinese and Jewish communities right where Chinatown meets the old Jewish Lower East Side. Named the “Best Block Party in New York City” by the Village Voice, the festival features a klezmer march and music, Chinese opera and acrobatics, vaudeville performances, Yiddish and Chinese language lessons, mahjong, synagogue tours, and much more.

Of course, kosher egg rolls and egg creams will be served.

The 10th annual Egg Rolls & Egg Creams Festival takes place Sun. June 6, 12-4 pm at the Museum at Eldridge Street (12 Eldridge Street between Canal and Division). Admission is free. For more information, visit www.eldridgestreet.org/eggrolls10. (Warning: you will have to beat a mahjong matching game to access this information.)
