Andrew Garfield to Play Jewish Photographer
The Social Network actor will star as Robert Capa in an upcoming flick.

He co-starred alongside Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightly in the critically-acclaimed Never Let Me Go, wowed audiences in David Fincher’s The Social Network and nabbed the sought-after role of Peter Parker in an upcoming Spider-Man reboot.
According to reports, the young actor will also be playing Robert Capa, a celebrated, exiled Jewish war photographer who falls for Gerda Taro -- another Jewish photographer (played by Prince of Persia’s Gemma Arterton). The biopic, titled Capa, will be directed by Michael Mann (Public Enemies, Miami Vice).
Garfield, who’s Jewish, impressed audiences and critics alike in last year’s The Social Network, the hit movie about the beginnings of Facebook. He’s already nabbed a Golden Globe nomination for his role in the film and is a strong contender for an Academy Award nomination.
The young star has already started shooting scenes for the highly-anticipated Spider-Man reboot. The movie, co-starring Emma Stone (Easy A, Superbad) as Gwen Stacy, is being directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer).
Garfield’s other acting credits include The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (starring Christopher Plummer, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and the late Heath Ledger) and Robert Redford’s Lions for Lambs.
