Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed

Gene Simmons and his blushing bride to be Shannon Tweed, have set a wedding date- October 1st. After 28 years together, the 62 year-old KISS rocker and former Playboy Playmate, will finally say their nuptials in an undisclosed Beverly Hills hotel.

Coincidentally (or not), the October 1st wedding, is a mere three days prior to the seventh season premiere of Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Undoubtedly, the couple’s every move apropos of wedding preparations shall be documented for posterity’s (and the show’s) sake.

Simmons proposed to Tweed in July, whilst the couple was on vacation in Belize during the finale to the show’s sixth season. It was a somewhat fascinating turn of events, considering much of the season focused on the volatility of the couple’s relationship.

"I come with so much baggage, but you're the only friend I've got. You're the only one I love...and you're the only one I ever will love," Simmons said on bended knee, as Tweed burst into tears.

The pair has two children together, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels airs on A&E, lest you did not know.
