Oscar nominee Bette Midler is joining the cast of Us & Them -- a movie that stars Billy Crystal -- reports Variety. The duo will be playing married grandparents in the upcoming flick.

The comedy, which was written by Babaloo Mandel and Lowell Ganz according to Variety, will be directed by Andy Fickman (She’s The Man, Race to Witch Mountain). It’s been announced that Bailee Madison (who co-starred opposite Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal in 2009’s Brothers) is joining the cast as one of the grandchildren.

According to reports, Us & Them will focus on grandparents -- a baseball broadcaster played by Crystal and his wife (played by Midler) -- who find themselves forced to look after their grandchildren.

Midler’s last film role was in the animated movie Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, which premiered last year. She also appeared in The Women, which co-starred Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes and Debra Messing.

Crystal has also voiced characters in animated flicks, including Cars and Monsters Inc. The Golden Globe-nominee recently teamed up with Funny Or Die for When Harry Met Sally 2 with Billy Crystal and Helen Mirren. Catch the video below.
