Scarlett Johansson Nude Photos Spark latest Internet Craze
Forget about “planking”, now there’s “Scarlett Johanssoning”.
Thought the infamous Scar-Jo nudie pics incident that set the Internet ablaze nearly a fortnight ago was mere memory? —Well, think again. In the wake of the aforementioned leaked nude self-portraits of the 26 year-old-actress, an Internet craze has materialized. Forget about “planking”, now there’s “Scarlett Johanssoning”. Ah, capricious, ephemeral Internet, how we adore thee.
Essentially, “Scarlett Johanssoning” is replicating the now famous towel/naked backside-in-a-mirror pose that was hacked from the actress’ cell phone. There is a website, and yes, said website contains “inappropriate for a work environment” nudity, so be forewarned. Visit www.scarlettjohanssoning.com to take a gander at everyone from humans, to Donald Duck, to pug dogs jumping on this bandwagon. Ah, capricious, ephemeral Internet…
As for Johansson, she has basically been tight-lipped regarding the embarrassment. In a recent interview with CNN’s David McKenzie, however, the actress tacitly addressed the subject.
“Just because you're in the spotlight or just because you're an actor or make films doesn't mean you're not entitled to your own personal privacy. No matter what the context, when that is sieged in some way it feels unjust, it feels wrong. People say, 'How do you deal with the invasion of privacy?' I don't know. To me, it's an adjustment. There are certainly instances I think where you give a lot of yourself, finally you just kind of put your foot down and say, 'No wait, I'm taking it back,'" Johansson stated in the interview.
Perhaps the lesson to be gleaned here would be not to take naked photos of oneself on a cell phone, lest those naked photos return to bite one’s naked backside.
