Drake’s highly anticipated sophomore album, 'Take Care,' has just hit shelves. The Toronto rapper’s latest release is already the No. 1 album on iTunes. Here’s a roundup of what some of the critics are saying:

Billboard: "... 'Take Care' presents Drake at his best: unraveling without the care of being judged when spit-singing emotional verses over intricate, piano-heavy synths.

Entertainment Weekly: “... Drake managed to blend his special brand of understated Canadian swagger with surprisingly vulnerable reflections on the opposite sex. It didn’t reinvent the wheels of steel, but it acted as both a statement of his vast potential and a titillating wake-up call for hip-hop.”

Montreal Gazette: “Drake is a great executive producer, and his sophomore album, Take Care, feels like an artist exploring a very specific vision to find out just how far it can be taken.”

Rolling Stone: The music is grandiose, full of big names and weighty references – from the drunk-dial epic "Marvin’s Room" to the N'awlins hip-hop tribute "Practice" to cameos from André 3000, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Stevie Wonder.”

Spin: “The only time the almost 80-minute Take Care doesn't work is when it indulges something resembling conventional hip-hop.”

The Los Angeles Times: “To discuss Drake requires a mention of how he represents the softer side of hip-hop. It’s not just anyone, after all, who gets a guest harmonica turn from Stevie Wonder.”
