Ben Stiller Auctioning Off Walk-On Role

Ever dreamt of being in the moving pictures? Well, perhaps now is your chance, provided that you’re willing to dig deep into the funds. Ben Stiller is auctioning off a walk-on part in his latest film, Neighborhood Watch, currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

Stiller donated the lot to CharityBuzz.com, with proceeds benefiting his Stiller Foundation, whose “primary mission is to promote the education and well-being of children worldwide through initiatives that focus on education”. At press time, the latest bid was $23,000 US, with the next minimum bid being $24,000 US.

If you are planning to fork over that sort of cash flow, be prepared for the terms and conditions that coincide with the lot.

“Walk-on role is valid for 1 person. One guest may travel with winning bidder to visit the film set. Both guests must be over 18 years old. Filming takes place in Atlanta, GA and ends December 6th, 2011. Travel and accommodations not included. Winner and guest may be subject to security screenings. NO photos or video recording will be allowed on set. Winner is subject to background checks and security screenings,” states the info provided to CharityBuzz.com.

Written by dynamic duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Neighborhood Watch, follows a group of suburban fathers who form a neighbourhood watch, only to discover that extraterrestrials are plotting to destroy the planet. Jonah Hill and Vince Vaughn star alongside Stiller, with Akiva Schaffer at the helm. The film will open in July 2012.
