The self-described “King of All Media”, Howard Stern, is making a triumphant return to television – this time as a judge on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. Both the Peacock Network, and Stern himself announced on Thursday that he would be joining the summer talent show.

"Howard Stern's larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to 'America's Got Talent' starting this summer. He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success," stated Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC.

Stern announced on his SiriusXM radio show, that he would be replacing CNN’s Piers Morgan as a judge on the reality series.

"It's official -- Howard just signed on the dotted line -- he is now the newest judge on America's Got Talent!" said radio show’s Twitter feed.

The “shock jock”, as he oft times is known, will join fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel, with Nick Cannon as host. Show producers were so eager to land Stern, that the production is relocating from Los Angeles to New York City, in order to accommodate Stern’s obligations to his wildly popular radio program.

"In order to up my credibility, I will wear a suit,” Stern told his listeners on Thursday.

This summer, America’s Got Talent will enter its 7th season on NBC.
