Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis Top IMDb’s Most-Viewed List
The Black Swan stars land top two spots on annual list
Natalie PortmanPortman and Kunis respectively snagged the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on IMDb’s annual list of most-viewed actors. Depp, who for six of the past seven years placed No. 1, dropped to No. 3.
The list, which was released Tuesday, is based on the number of views actors’ profile pages received over the past year. It comes as no surprise, then, that Portman landed the No. 1 spot: 2011’s been one of her most successful years yet. She won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, appeared in the films No Strings Attached, Your Highness and Thor, and made headlines in June with the birth of her first child.
As for Kunis, the actress received a Golden Globe nomination for her role opposite Portman in Black Swan, starred in Friends with Benefits, and continued her run as the voice of Meg Griffin on the animated comedy Family Guy. Her popularity might have also been boosted by attendance at a Marine Corps Ball last month, speculated IMDb Managing Editor Keith Simanton.
Aside from Portman, Kunis and Depp, the top ten consisted of The Help’s Emma Stone, Chris Hemsworth, Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Lawrence, George Clooney, Ryan Gosling and Christian Bale. Also notable on the list was Glee’s Dianna Agron, who was counted among the highest ranking emerging stars of the year.
The 63-year-old was given the € 50,000 award for being "one of the driving forces of world photojournalism".
