Emmy Rossum visited Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately to promote the January 8th launch of Shameless’ new season. Instead of sharing the crazy adventures of the Gallagher family, instead she recalled the time when a mountain lion decided to use her Los Angeles pad as a watering hole.

Rossum is thrilled to have a swimming pool, especially being from Manhattan where they’re extremely difficult to come by… but she never expected a mountain lion to navigate "suburbia" (Los Angeles, in her NY mind) and settle at her home.

"I didn't have the fear instinct," Rossum told Chelsea after discovering the lion. "I had the New-York-outraged instinct. I was like, What the hell are you doing?"

The actress called Animal Control, and the lion has not returned for a second visit.
