For a spell there last year, the world collectively had its mouth agape, as Charlie Sheen let his inner wack-job run free and amok. Evidently, those days of yore are mere memory.

"Well, I'm not crazy anymore. That was an episode. I'm a different person than I was yesterday,” Sheen said of his sex, drugs, and booze-soaked notoriety of 2011.

"Let's just say I have a mellower plan,” he said.

One component of that plan, is the development of his new show, Anger Management, a comedy set to air on FX. The show is based on the 2003 film of the same name starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicolson, however Sheen clarifies that,” it's completely different, we're basically just using the title."

Sheen will play an anger management therapist, and likewise, will serve as a show producer.

“I just wanted to do a show and play a character that dealt with more mature themes and stuff that actually exists in the real world. I just didn’t want Two and a Half Men to be my television legacy. I wanted to do something that ended better, “ Sheen explained to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Everyone in the world has called and wants to be on the show. They want to be a patient,” said executive producer Bruce Helford (Roseanne, The Drew Carey Show).

Anger Management will commence production in March, with a proposed airdate in the summer.
