People’s Choice Awards Winners: the Jewish List
A recap of the 2012 Jewish winners
Wednesday night’s People’s Choice Awards ceremony proved a successful one for the likes of Katy Perry, Johnny Depp and Emma Stone - but some of our own nabbed the night’s biggest titles as well.
Unsurprisingly, Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 triumphed in every nominated category, though the actor himself lost out to Hugo’s Chloe Moretz for Favorite Movie Star Under 25. The final installment of the beloved series racked up four awards in total, among them Favorite Movie and Favorite Ensemble Movie Cast.
Jewish stars also dominated in the comedy category. Favorite Comedic Movie Actor went to Adam Sandler, Favorite TV Comedy Actress to Lea Michele, Favorite New TV Comedy to Kat Dennings’ 2 Broke Girls, and Judd Apatow was on hand to accept the Favorite Comedy Movie award for Bridesmaids. Josh Radnor’s How I Met Your Mother also won Favorite Network TV Comedy.
With Adam Levine-led Maroon 5 snagging Favorite Band, it’s safe to say it was a pretty good night for Jews in showbiz.
