Maroon 5 Boycotts Mexican Restaurant for Anti-Gay Stance
Adam Levine and his band new to find a new post-Grammys hang out
Maroon 5’s lead singer, Adam Levine, is a long time supporter of the LGBT community. He recently appeared on the cover of Out magazine and lent his voice to the “It Gets Better” campaign. So it comes as no surprise that he and his band have decided to boycott their favourite post-Grammy’s restaurant after discovering they supported Proposition 8.
"We used to go to this Mexican restaurant to celebrate after the Grammys but the place supported the movement to make gay marriage illegal [in California] so we bailed on that." Levine told People Magazine.
Maroon 5 is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for February 12th’s Grammy Awards.
