Matthew Broderick in Super Bowl Teaser

A mysterious YouTube user calling himself “chuckachucka2012” uploaded a 10-second clip on Thursday featuring Matthew Broderick enacting a scene from John Hughes’ classic film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Rumor has it that Broderick is reprising his role as Ferris for a Super Bowl ad. Could this 10-second clip be a teaser for the commercial? Do people do that? Create trailers for advertisements? And most importantly… what brand is the commercial advertising? So many questions…

In the teaser/trailer/10-second clip, Broderick swings open curtains and says, “How can I handle work on a day like today?”. If you’re familiar with the film, Bueller’s famous line is “How can I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?”

Watch the teaser below. Who do you think the company behind this is?

Jalopnik is reporting that it’s a Honda ad. I have to admit, that would be a little disappointing. Ferris drives a 1961 Ferrari GT, not a Civic.
