Edon Pinchot

Almost a year ago, we were introduced to 12-year old Edon Pinchot. His heartfelt covers of Top 40 songs played on piano in his family’s home sparked a frenzy on YouTube. Celebrities posted links on Twitter. Howard Stern discussed Pinchot’s talents on his show, and viewers internationally tuned into the young boy’s YouTube channel to catch his latest upload.

Now, Edon is back with a beautiful rendition of OneRepublic’s ‘Good Life’. This time, however, the video was recorded in a studio instead of his family home. Additionally, he plays piano alongside guitarist Nathan Spicer.

Edon’s voice has matured and strengthened; the purity and soulfulness richer than before.

In my initial posting about Edon, I suggested that he should cover a Lady Gaga song because at that moment the only children being discovered through YouTube were singing her music. I have to say now that I’m glad he did not take my advice. I am not a fan of OneRepublic, but Edon’s rendition of ‘Good Life’ has made me a fan of the song… and I most definitely am a fan of Edon’s.
