Amar’e Stoudemire’s Brother Dies in Crash, Takes Leave
Hazell Stoudemire dies on scene of car crash early this morning in Florida
New York Knicks forward, Amar’e Stoudemire, has taken a leave of absence from the NBA after his brother, Hazell Stoudemire, died in a car crash early this morning.
Hazell Stoudemire, 35, collided into the rear of a tractor-trailer in Lake Wales, Florida according to the State Highway Patrol.
According to TMZ, Hazell was speeding and not wearing a seat belt. The basketball star’s brother died at the scene.
Amar’e Stoudemire will be returning to his home in Cypress Creek, Florida to spend time with his family after this tragedy. There is no word yet as to when he will return to playing.
