Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg has already made a name for himself on the small screen. It looks like the 33-year-old star is carving out a name for himself on the big screen as well.

Deadline reports that the SNL funnyman has been tapped to create music (along with his buddies from The Lonely Island) for One Hit Wonders, a musical comedy that will be helmed by Glee executive producer and co-creator Ryan Murphy. The cast reportedly could include Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Last year was a busy year for Samberg. The comedian was featured in two comedies; he played Quincy in Friends with Benefits (which co-starred Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake). He also had a role in What’s Your Number, a movie starring The House Bunny’s Anna Faris.

Samberg’s voice will be featured in an upcoming animated flick called Hotel Transylvania. The film stars Adam Sandler, who Samberg also stars with in this year’s That’s My Boy.
