Fran Drescher Officiates Gay Wedding [VIDEO]
The ‘Happily Divorced’ actress married Tom and Russell after getting ordtained by the Universal Life Church.
Fran Drescher, current star of TVLand’s Happily Divorced, played a cleric at New York City’s gay nightclub, XL, while officiating the real-life marriage of Tom and Russell.
In an effort to show her support for gay marriage and equality, Drescher performed the ceremony for Tom and Russell who have been together for over 20 years.
"Mazel tov Tom & Russell! Tom & Russell hav (sic) been together for 20 years, that’s what I call dedication... What an amazing day! Tom & Russell are incredible! Feel so lucky to have been included in their big day," Drescher tweeted.
Drescher also took the opportunity to promote Happily Divorced while at the nightclub.
Currently in it’s second season, Happy Divorced is based on Drescher’s real-life experience with being thrown back into the dating world after nearly 20 years of marriage after discovering her husband was gay.
This isn't the first time the Frenchman has succeeded in pranking celebrities.
