Ashton Kutcher to Portray Steve Jobs
The ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor has been cast to play Apple’s former CEO.
A young Steve Jobs, Ashton KutcherAshton Kutcher’s had a very busy year… unfortunately most of the attention he’s received has been negative gossip and speculation.
Most recently, the rumor mill has been focused on his alleged relationship with pop star, Rihanna, which as it turns out was merely gossip. The actor ended his marriage with Demi Moore, leading to her breakdown and stint in rehab. On a positive note, he took Charlie Sheen’s place on popular sit-com, Two and a Half Men, and is currently doing the press circuit to promote the re-launch of Punk’d. But, now in another controversial spin, Kutcher has signed on to star in the independent film, Jobs, following the life of recently deceased Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs. Is it too soon?
Jobs is based on a script by Matt Whiteley and will be directed by Swing Vote’s Michael Stern. It will follow Jobs’ life from hippedom to co-founder of Apple Inc, and everything in between.
Steve Jobs passed away less than 6 months ago, on October 5th, 2011 at the age of 56 from cancer.
Sony Pictures Studios is also in the process of developing a Steve Jobs biography based on the best-selling book by Walter Isaacson.
