Adam Sandler Wins Worst Actor, Actress & 8 Others at Razzies
Sandler sets record for most Razzies at Sunday’s award show.
Adam Sandler is officially the worst, according to the 657 voting members of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation aka ‘The Razzies’. At Sunday Night’s award ceremony, the comedian swept the night with a record 10 wins (or loses… however you look at it.)
Sandler is not a stranger to the Razzies, but never before has he (or anyone for that matter) received 11 nominations and 10 wins. Before going into the ceremony, Sandler’s Jack and Jill, in which he plays brother and sister twins, was disliked by 97 percent of critics on Rotten Tomatoes and received a user rating of 3.4 (out of 10) on imdb.
Among the “wins” for Sandler: Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Jack and Jill and Just Go With It), Worst Actress (Jack and Jill), Worst Supporting Actor (for Al Pacino’s cameo as himself), Worst Supporting Actress (for David Spade as “Monica”), Worst Screen Ensemble, Worst Director (Dennis Dugan for Jack and Jill and Just Go With It), Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel (Jack and Jill for ripping off Glen or Glenda), Worst Screen Couple (Sandler and Katie Holmes, Sandler and Al Pacino, or Sandler with himself), and Worst Screenplay.
Sandler has two movies set for a 2012 release: That’s My Boy and Hotel Transylvania.
