Cosmopolis is David Cronnberg’s follow-up to his 2011 critically-acclaimed A Dangerous Method. However, the two films couldn’t be more different: A Dangerous Method is a period drama based on true events and real people. Cosmopolis, on the other hand, is thriller based on a novel.

And from the looks of the trailer, Cosmopolis is shaping up to be a gritty, action-packed movie. The film tells the story of a twenty-something New York millionaire who treks across Manhattan.

The movie, which was shot in Toronto, will have its debut later next month at the Cannes Film Festival. Cosmopolis stars Robert Pattinson in the lead role and features a number of award-winning actors, including Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche and Canadian actor Jay Baruchel.

Catch the new full-length trailer below.
