Montreal’s famous Just For Laughs comedy festival is turning 30 this year, and to celebrate they’ve wrangled in some of the best talent the stand-up world currently has to offer. In addition to the dozens of comedy routines performed during the festival in July, comedians will host galas and accept awards.

Chelsea Handler was just named one of the 100 Most Influential people in the world by Time Magazine, and is now being recognized as Comedy person of the Year by Just For Laughs. Handler will be at the festival in Montreal (for the first time in 10 years) to accept her award.

Michael Key and Jordon Peele of the Key & Peele comedy team are receiving this year’s Breakout Comedy Star award, while Hannibal Buress will get the Rising Comedy Star trophy.

Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog have been scheduled to return to their variety show roots for ‘The Muppets All-Star Comedy Gala’. The muppet couple is hosting the exclusive gala at the Place des Arts theatre.

Some other notable comedians included this year are Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Bill Hader, Bob Saget, John Pinette, Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, Patton Oswalt, Wayne Brady, and Mario Cantone.

Just For Laughs still plans to announce more talent in the next few weeks. The festival runs from July 12th-29th.
