Tim Burton’s latest film ‘Dark Shadows’, starring wife Helena Bonham Carter (as always), is currently in theatres. Although it’s not doing as well as expected, Burton’s loyal fans are rushing in droves to witness the director’s unique brand of weird. But would those same fans be interested in a reality series following Burton, Bonham Carter, and their 2 kids? Probably, but Bonham Carter insists her family is far too normal to make for good television.

While speaking with BBC, Bonham Carter confirmed that networks have asked the couple if they’d like to star in their own reality show.

“People have suggested it, funnily enough. But I think people think [our life together] is much wilder than it is. You know? It’s utterly normal,” Bonham Carter says.

Bonham Carter insists that she could not be tempted, reiterating with a “No. No, no no. Not for one second. No.”

Burton and Bonham Carter have been together going on 11 years, and besides their immense talent, are perhaps best known for their choice to live in separate, yet adjoining, houses.

When the BBC interviewer suggests that an audience might find this aspect of their relationship interesting, Bonham replies, “I think so, yeah. They’re right to be envious, it works. It’s absolutely great. Except we’ve got building work for the next year so we will actually have to live under the same roof. That’s going to be interesting.”
