Madonna’s world tour promoting her latest album ‘MDNA’ begins in Tel Aviv on May 31st. The international pop star arrived in Israel a few days early to begin rehearsals and take her children on a tour of the Holy Land.

Madonna arrived in Israel on May 25th with a 70-person crew, and reportedly spent the past weekend touring holy sites and attending classes on Shavuot at the Tel Aviv Kabbalah Center.

The ‘Girl Gone Wild’ singer brought along her four children, and even requested a customized play area be built on the grounds of the stadium for them, featuring a pool and play room.

Rehearsals are planned to continue up until the day of her first show at Ramat Gan Stadium.

Madonna has a large number of devout fans in Israel. After announcing her world tour dates, the Tel Aviv show sold out almost immediately, leading to the announcement of a second show. Madonna has sold out two shows in the past in Israel, including 2009’s show promoting ‘Sticky and Sweet’.

Madonna also visits Israel frequently in her spare time to continue studying Kabbalah with her children.
