Remember when Madonna and Britney Spears made out at the Grammys, and the world oohed and ahhhed and replayed the clip over and over again in celebration? Subsequently, do you remember when Adam Lambert kissed his male dancer and it was blurred out during replays? Well, so do the Scissor Sisters.

In a recent interview with the Daily Telegraph promoting their new album release, ‘Magic Hour, the band discusses America’s fear of male homosexuality.

"It is much easier to swallow the pill of gay rights when it is packaged in the form of a pretty girl,” Scissor Sisters’ Ana Matronic began.

"I think at the heart of it lies a fear of male sexuality, and especially male homosexuality, that is threatening in many ways," she continued.

"It was crazy. On morning television they showed the famous kiss between Britney Spears and Madonna but when they switched to Adam Lambert, they blurred it out. So it's fine to show hot chicks kissing but if it's a couple of guys, it's going to ruin our children," Matronic said of the Lambert incident.

“Imagine if Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber kissed at the Grammys. It would be completely preposterous," frontman Jake Shears added.
