Mary Kay Letourneau’s Husband: ‘That’s My Boy’ is About Us

If you don’t remember, Mary Kay Letourneau was a middle school teacher who was imprisoned for having a sexual relationship (and conceiving a child) with her 12-year old student, Vili Fualaau in 1996. After spending 6 months in jail, and being instructed by the courts not to have any contact with her “boyfriend”, Letourneau reconnected with Fualaau and returned to prison for another 5 years, where she gave birth to their second child. When she got out of jail the second time around, Fualaau was over 18, so the courts could not keep them apart. The happy couple got married, and is living happily ever after.
Fast forward to 2012 and Adam Sandler releases his newest critically assaulted comedy “That’s My Boy”, following a young student that impregnates his teacher. Teacher goes to jail. Student becomes famous. Sound familiar?
Although Fualaau hasn’t seen the film yet, TMZ reports that him and wife Letourneau are planning a “date night” to see what he believes is their story.
"Maybe this movie won't suck as bad as the last few films he made," Fualaau tells TMZ. "We're talking about my life and a young boy banging his hot teacher ... what's not to like about that?!"
Fualaau and Letourneau currently live in Seattle, where they host ‘Hot For Teacher’ club nights.
