Roseanne Barr is the latest victim to be roasted for Comedy Central, following the likes of William Shatner, Charlie Sheen, Pamela Anderson, Joan Rivers, and Donald Trump.

Barr’s roast will be taped in Los Angeles on August 4th, and will air on Comedy Central on August 12th. The actress will be publically humiliated in the midst of a busy year; running on the U.S Presidential ticket for the Green Party and filming her new NBC sitcom, Downwardly Mobile.

"Although Roseanne appears to be a demure, soft spoken woman eternally committed to the status quo, we believe under the surface is an explosive, trail-blazing cultural revolution. We are honored to roast her," Ken Alterman, head of original programming and production for Comedy Central said.

"Celebrating Roseanne's unprecedented achievements in comedy and television will surely inspire us to make this roast more reminiscent of the classic roasts, where the intimacy of friends jousting with each other came through."

Previous roastees have expressed various reasons for dreading their roast, but Roseanne’s is quite peculiar… she doesn’t think anyone will find something to make fun of.

"All I can say is good luck finding anything about me to make fun of," Barr said. "I mean, I've never made a mistake or offended anyone in my life!"

The roasters haven’t been announced yet, but according to TMZ, Barr’s ex-husband Tom Arnold “has absolutely no interest in being a part of it.”

Call Roseanne lucky because he would definitely have fodder for insults.
