Adam Lambert to Judge American Idol?

E! News reports that Jennifer Lopez may not return for season 12 of the hit reality show, and several names are being thrown around. One of them being season 8 runner-up, Adam Lambert.
Lambert has reportedly been in talks with the shows producers for over a month, and an “unnamed source” explains why he would be the perfect choice to sit in JLo/Paula Abdul’s seat.
“He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start…He knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of the judges' comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can't go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him."
The same source also believes that none of the judges’ seats are safe for the next season.
"Randy is great, but he's part of the old 'Idol,'" the source said.
"They want to keep the soul of the show but have a new look, and for that reason he may well not be part of the new line up."
Fox is apparently fighting to keep Jennifer Lopez on the show, after she used the platform to re-launch her singing career. With young pop culture stars appearing on ‘American Idol’s’ competition including Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Cee Lo Green on ‘The Voice’ and Britney Spears and Demi Lovato on ‘X Factor’, Fox needs to step up and get modern icons on the show.
