Gwyneth Paltrow has appeared in the previous two ‘Iron Man’ installments as Pepper Potts, the title character’s assistant and love interest. According to the film series’ creators, she may be promoted to superhero in the upcoming third installment.

Speaking at Comic Con, the Marvel creators expressed interest in making Potts her very own suit, as she appears in one of the original comics, ‘The Invincible Iron Man’, as a character calling herself Rescue.

“Everyone at this table thinks it would be the coolest thing in the world to see Pepper get in the suit at some point,” says Kevin Feige of Marvel.

“We almost did it a few times; we talked about it a lot. I think we all share your enthusiasm for that, and we all want to see Gwyneth kick a little ass,” said the films’ director, Jon Favreau.

In other Gwyneth news, the actress/foodie is also being considered for the lead role in the upcoming film adaptation of food memoir “Blood, Bones, and Butter.”
