You have already met Tania.
Now let’s find out how her first date with Nathaniel went down. You know it was successful since she was selected for the Top 3, but what exactly did they do on their date? What did they talk about? What do they have in common?
Read Tania and Nathaniel’s thoughts on their first date below, and check back soon to find out how their second date goes.
Tania’s thoughts on meeting Nathaniel:
I met up with Nathaniel at the restaurant at 8:30 after a few delays (thanks, Air Canada...), and we were seated right away. After deciding what to order, we got right to conversation, which was SO easy. We had quite a lot to talk about, a lot in common, and there was never a lull.
Nathaniel seems like a great guy, whose values seem very close to mine. He has a lot of great qualities that I have been looking for and hadn't found yet, which made for a really enjoyable evening.
Which leads me to...
Thoughts on the process so far:
As awkward as it may have initially seemed to sort of throw myself 'out there' quite so much, I'm actually really glad I did. This process has allowed me to take a step back and consider what I'm looking for in a mate, as well as what I actually need in terms of values and support.
Even if I'm not the last girl standing (which I hope I am...you guys picked a winner!), I've definitely learned a lot from this process!
Nathaniel’s thoughts on meeting Tania:
I was quite excited about my date with Tania, the first date, and it didn’t help my nerves being 30 minutes late due to a delayed flight into the city. Tania was very understanding and went browsing around the shops in the area. That speaks to her very easy going and genuine personality. It didn’t affect our meeting at all, thank goodness.
There was a table reserved for us and the restaurant was fairly bustling. The amazing thing about Tania is that she exudes warmth and is constantly smiling. We enjoyed a great dinner and the conversation covered many topics. We spoke significantly about past travel destinations and places we intend on visiting in the future. Another great quality about Tania is that she speaks with so much positive energy and enthusiasm, I enjoyed her company. The next thing we knew, the waitress bought us a few drinks to celebrate the first date...it was a great touch.
