James Franco Joins Jason Statham in Stallone’s ‘Homefront’
Franco plays a meth dealer in the new action film written by Stallone
‘Expendables 2’ co-stars Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham will be joined by James Franco in the upcoming action film ‘Homefront’.
Written by Stallone himself, and directed by Gary Felder (‘Kiss the Girls’), ‘Homefront’ tells the story of Phil broker (Statham) and his wife Nina, former drug enforcement agents who move to a small town in hopes of recovering from their last case. Unfortunately, their plans of starting over are interrupted when a local meth dealer (Franco) hears of the couple’s arrival, and attempts to drive them out of town.
This will be a different role for Franco, who normally sticks to dramatic and artistic roles… but then again, there is no “normal” when it comes to the actor/professor/musician/art curator/fashion photographer. As I’ve stated many times before, none of Franco’s choices surprise me.
‘Homefront’ is based on the popular Chuck Logan book series by the same name.
