‘The Expendables 2’, starring many of Hollywood’s action elite, burst into the box office this past Friday. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Liam Hemsworth, Bruce Willis, and Jason Statham, this action flick is every macho man’s wet dream.

So who would be cast in an all-female action-packed Blockbuster?

Adi Shankar’s banner, 1984 Private Defense Contractors, has just secured Dutch Southern to write an ‘Expendables’-inspired project, and is already “in talks with several prominent actresses affiliated with the action genre,” according to Variety.

Casting rumors are running wild in cyberspace with speculations as to who these supposed “actresses affiliated with the action genre” could be.

Will they be recent action heroes such as Milla Jovovich (“Resident Evil’), Kate Beckinsale (‘Underworld’) or Summer Glau (‘Firefly’)? Or will casting directors consider classic action stars including Carrie Fisher (‘Star Wars’), Sigourney Weaver (‘Alien’), or Linda Hamilton (‘The Terminator 2:Judgment Day’)?

Considering ‘The Expendables’ is an even mixture of both new and old, it would be a safe assumption that Shankar’s picture will utilize the same successful formula.

Our vote is for Carrie Fisher and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Buffy destroyed hundreds of supernatural creatures and humans alike… I think a decade later, she is still fit enough to defeat Linda Hamilton, at the very least. And Carrie Fisher is Princess Leia. Enough said.
