Max Schneider

Max Schneider is best known to his loyal legion of “Schneidermonkeys” as Zander Robbins on Nickelodeon’s ‘How To Rock’, but this young heartthrob has already accumulated quite an impressive portfolio. At 20, Schneider has tackled Broadway, film, TV, a sold-out tour, and an international Dolce & Gabbana fashion campaign posing arm-in-arm with Madonna.

Schneider began his professional career (after a childhood filled with singing and dancing for friends and family on his living room table) in the musical ‘13’ on Broadway. After ‘13’ closed, he landed guest starring roles on ‘Law and Order SVU’ and ‘One Life to Live’, which was followed by an invitation to attend the prestigious YoungArts Program in Miami.

With an incredible experience studying with some of theater’s finest under his belt, including Liv Ullman, Malcolm Gets, and Kevin Carroll, Schneider strolled on in to a casting for the Fall/Winter 2010 Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign. With no previous modeling experience, Schneider got the gig, and a week later posed alongside Madonna in a beautifully shot black-and-white spread.

After attending NYU Tisch for Musical Theatre. Schneider booked his first film role in ‘The Art of Love’ (‘The Last Keepers’) co-starring Olympia Dukakis, Virginia Madsen, and Aidan Quinn.

Shortly after wrapping the film, Schneider shot the pilot for ‘How to Rock’, and as they say, the rest is history.

As a part of the Nickelodeon team, Schneider stars in ‘How To Rock’ and, co-starred with Keke Palmer in ‘RAGS’, and appears as a panelist on ‘Figure It Out’.

Schneider is also a singer and songwriter, having written songs for ‘How To Rock’ and ‘Shake It Up’, and recently toured with Victoria Justice on her ‘Making It In America’ tour.

Schneider managed to find the time between writing original music for his debut album, touring with his band, and acting in various projects to chat with SL about his roots, his fans, and the time he hugged a stranger thinking it was his mother.
