Paula Abdul Joins Chabad in Toronto
The pop icon will discuss her Canadian and Jewish roots
Paula Abdul, singer/dancer/former ‘American Idol’ judge, will be visiting Toronto on November 25th for “an intimate conversation” discussing her Canadian and Jewish roots “for the very first time,” according to the event promoters.
The exciting event, entitled “My Jewish Soul”, will take place at the Eglinton Grand, and will see proceeds benefiting Chabad. The Jewish organization intends to use the funds to buy property for 'Chabad on the Avenue'.
Abdul’s mother, Lorraine Rykiss, is a French-Canadian originally from Manitoba. She has mentioned both her Jewish and Canadian heritage in interviews and filmed conversations, but has never discussed them in detail.
Tickets for the event, organized by Magen Boys Entertainment and Sole Power Productions, are currently on sale. There are 'Meet & Greet' opportunities for fans who purchase the VIP package.
