| Caucasian Jews or Gorsky Jews originate from the Caucasus Mountain region in the southwest of the former Soviet Union. |
| The Jewish Caucasus Community Centre was established in September 2007 to help Caucasian Jews integrating in Canadian society and Toronto's Jewish community, while also maintaining their "self-defining" cultural and linguistic identities. The vision of the Jewish Caucasus Community Centre is having one centre where the Caucasian Jews can receive cultural, educational, recreational, social or financial services. The community centre was established to be used for workshops, programs, athletics, drama, art, dancing, music, handicrafts, hobbies and recreation for the general public. The JCC includes the cultural and recreational programs (including women, children, youth and senior programs), Jewish holiday and cultural activities, social and immigration services, Jewish education and post secondary education services, communication and publications, etc. |
