Members of an extreme-right Neo-Nazi terrorist cell have allegedly sold ‘Pogromly’ (a Nazi-inspired version of ‘Monopoly’) to raise money to support their activities between 2000-2010.

Uwe Mundlos, Uwe Böhnhardt and Beate Zschäpe, suspected of murdering at least 10 people and carrying out 14 bank robberies in Germany, made several dozen copies of ‘Pogromly’ in 1997. The Hasbro-knockoff sold for 100 Deutsche marks and was marketed within the underground Neo-Nazi scene, according to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper.

Based on photos provided by The Local, Go! has been replaced by a large swastika and concentration camps are in the place of railway stations. Reichsmarks are the games’ currency, and the board depicts images of gasworks, Hitler, and Jews illustrated as being evil. Instead of Atlantic City properties, players can purchase valuable locations such as Dachau and Buchenwald.

According to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, German authorities have had the game in their possession since 1998, after finding professionally made copies while uncovering a bomb-making operation the terrorist cell was operating.

Mundlos killed Böhnhardt and committed suicide last month after being confronted by the police. Zschäpe turned herself in.

The term ‘pogrom’ refers to massive, targeted, and repeated Anti-Semitic rioting.
