Israel's Olympic History Through Infographics

Israel, a tiny nation dwarfed by Olympic giants, has, so far, suffered a mostly negative legacy when it comes to their Olympic experiences, ranging from the Munich Massacre in 1972 to mounting losses and politics in-between. But, with the spirit that has become synonymous with the Jewish State, Israel, despite having the odds stacked against them as well as a significant lack of resources, has again beaten those odds, and has risen to the top once more.
Since the founding of Israel's National Olympic Committee in 1933, and their first taste of Olympic competition in 1952, Israel has progressively improved with each passing quadrennial, having won their first medal in 1992, and their first gold in 2004. This summer, Israel looks to continue its success at the London 2012 Summer Olympics. Who will be the next Israeli hero to share an Olympic medal with the adoring men, women and children of the Jewish State? We'll soon find out.
